Ada’s rescue journey ❤️

It’s time for an update…this time for little Ada.

Ada stole everyone’s hearts being found straying in an awful state at the beginning of November last year.

She couldn’t even feel the floor from the matts and poo on her feet, the smell was revolting and yet she was just so happy and trusting with us even when we were having to clip all her matted fur away, which was pulling tight on her skin.

She then went to the storage and got herself some of her very own things. Her own comfy fluffy bed, her own collar, lead, harness and coat. Her very own jumpers, bowls, blankets and ID tag. She finally belonged. She was Ada, a new name for a new life.

She settled in so well, she just loved all the dogs at BBHQ, she had her spay and recovered brilliantly.

She started to learn to play, she started having the ‘zoomies’ and she found her spot in the bed, under the covers at night!

During her time at our house, my lovely Mum and Dad fell in love with her.

She would get so excited when they came to visit and it got to the point where my Dad would say ‘has that little dog got a home yet?’ And I knew he’d really fell for her!

Mum and Dad are shall we say ‘in their senior years’ 😆 and they do have some health issues between them, so as a family we had to have a chat about Ada’s well being and how we would support them if they were to have her.

We also decided she should have a long stint with them as a foster, to ensure it was feasible to manage.

It’s been so lovely to see, they adore her and she goes everywhere with them. They go for chase walks, to watch the gliders at seighford with them, she comes to our house at least 3 times a week to play with the other dogs and she comes with us for longer walks. She goes to the cafes, to the dog friendly shops, and at night, she now has her spot in their bed, under the covers ❤️

She now plays all the time, chases her ball, throws her teddies around and tries to chase the garden squirrells 😆

Ada now has the best of both worlds, play times and activity with our family, but more comfort and love than she could have wished for from My parents.

Today she went to see Aunty Keely for a groom (post to follow) and we decided that she will definitely be staying as an ‘O’Neil’ ❤️❤️

We love you Ada, you are a very special girl who has made my parents very very happy ❤️

🐾Just a note to explain the object on Ada’s collar - Ada has no recall at all and will try to escape, so she has an air tag attached to her collar for safety - as well as her ID disc and microchip🐾
